Cultivate your garden from an ecological perspective! In this online presentation, Neeti Bathala, professor, author, gardener and graduate of the Nicholas School of the Environment, will explore how to create a wildlife friendly habitat and promote biodiversity in your garden. Learn more about this approach from an ecosystem level; discussing your gardens biome, planting zone and the appropriate layers in a natural ecosystem. The class will also cover how to assess food and seasonality, water, cover, nesting, and amount of space needed to create an ecological garden that functions for you and your wildlife neighbors.
