Part of the Solution: Building Climate Resilience in Durham

We are all part of building climate resilience. Join us for a panel discussion of intergenerational efforts in Durham to address the challenges of climate change, following a free virtual screening of "The Revolution Generation." Learn from college students, a local restaurateur, an educator and a farmer about ways their work connects to climate change solutions, and ways that climate justice and social justice are inextricably linked. Panelists will give a brief outline of their work, followed by questions, commentary and dialogue between panelists and audience. Panelists are:
• Andy Magowan, Geer Street Garden and Hemp Sequestration Project
• Ariane Lemaire, student at Duke University in environmental science & policy and advisor at the Endangered Species Coalition
• Elijah King, student at UNC-Greensboro in political science and government, founder of the Durham Free Lunch Initiative and former member of Durham Youth Climate Justice Initiative
• George O'Neill, Lil' Farm and Hemp Sequestration Project
• Max Cawley, Museum of Life and Science, Director of Climate Research and Engagement
• Reagan McGuinn, student at N.C. State in fisheries, wildlife &conservation biology and former member of Durham Youth Climate Justice Initiative
