Sara Childs, Director

Please join the Office of the Duke Forest for our Annual Gathering, which is taking place virtually on Thursday, November 11th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm EST. The Annual Gathering is an opportunity for the Duke University and local communities to learn about Duke's largest and oldest teaching and research laboratory. Every year, we gather on an evening in November to hear highlights about recent research, teaching, and forest management activities on the Duke Forest.

This year we will deliver a virtual presentation celebrating the Duke Forest's 90th anniversary with a species presentation from Director Sara Childs. We invite all Duke students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as our local community to learn more about what is happening in the Forest and connect to the legacy of this teaching and research forest close to home and around the world. Though we will miss the great food, wine, and conversation, attendance is now unrestricted by geography. We are excited for this opportunity to engage a larger network of Duke Forest enthusiasts through this virtual meeting platform.

This event is a free and easy way to stay engaged with the Duke Forest Teaching and Research Laboratory. Contact dukeforest@duke.edu for any questions.
