Your long-term relationship... with service#YOSO ¿ You Only Serve OnceHow much of your service has been trendy vs a long-term commitment? Causes constantly sweep across social media and school campuses, only to be replaced by the next ¿it¿ cause. Many of us had a blast participating in the MLK Day of Service on Monday, and the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge this summer. High-profile service is fun, and often does great good¿ but what happens when the trend passes? What are the short-and long-term effects ¿ both for us, and for those we are ¿serving¿? Come reflect on your short- and long-term relationship to service at the next LEAPS hosted Project Reflect event in the BC middle level on January 30th at 2 pm for an hour of coffee, hot chocolate, and discussion.
