Dr. Barreiro holds a Canadian Research Chair in Functional and Evolutionary Genomics of the Immune System, and has broad interests in human and comparative primate functional genomics, the role of selection in differentiating modern human populations, and the genetics and epigenomics of tuberculosis infection. He was recently named one of Cell¿s ¿40 under 40¿ scientists to watch.
