Duke Divinity School's 90th Opening Convocation Service

Duke Divinity School will hold its 90th Opening Convocation Service, the first worship service of the 2016-17 academic year for students, faculty, and staff. The convocation service, which is highlighted by an academic procession of the faculty and selected senior administrative staff, also includes a blessing of new faculty and staff, and a welcoming to the entering class of students. In addition, President Richard H. Brodhead will install the Rev. Dr. Elaine A. Heath as the 13th dean of the Divinity School, after which the new dean will preach. The service will be webcast live.
