UPGG Tuesday Seminar Series: "Unraveling the genetic pathways underlying synapse formation and maintenance"
Sponsor(s): University Program in Genetics & Genomics (UPGG)
Dr. Yishi Jin is interested in understanding the molecular genetic mechanisms controlling synapse formation and function of neurons in development and regeneration in Caenorhabditis elegans.Dr. Jin received her B.S. degree from Peking University, China, her Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a postdoctoral training at MIT. She is now a professor of neurobiology and of cellular and molecular medicine at the University of California, San Diego. She is an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
