Vladislav Kovalsky, piano

Program: James Hartway: Basho, 8 haiku for Prepared Piano; Boris Tischenko: Sonata # 2, Op. 17 (1960); Schumann: Carnaval, Op. 9. Vladislav Kovalsky is currently the Executive and Artistic Director of the Monmouth Conservatory of Music. He is a world-class concert pianist and music educator. Born in Khabarovsk in the Far East of Russia, he moved to the U.S. in 1980. Mr. Kovalsky maintains an active schedule of teaching, performance, publication and lecture. He performs in Japan, Russia, Canada, Germany and the U.S., recently playing at Carnegie Hall, and conducts master classes around the world. He is a distinguished member of the International Keyboard Festival Faculty at Mannes College of the New School in New York City, and was honored as an official Steinway Artist for his musical achievement. Mr. Kovalsky also teaches at Georgian Court University, Lakewood, NJ.
