K-12 Special Event Art Squared - Kinetic Works Dancers Science in Motion: Balance, Patterns, & Laws of Motion Performance

Suggested for 5th and 6th grade studentsFREE at Reynolds Theater, Duke University West Campus. The Nasher Museum partners with the Durham Arts Council's CAPS program to expand your museum visit. Charlotte-based dance group Kinetic Works Dancers will present their Science in Motion: Balance, Patterns, & Laws of Motion performance. Science in Motion performances reinforce concepts from science curriculum with ties to the kinetic sculptures and mobiles of Alexander Calder. Connections are made through choreographic works including: Simple Machines and Tools, Life Cycles, and Newton¿s Laws of Motion.Groups will take a guided tour of the exhibition prior to the April 27 performance.
