Gus Van Sant, cinematography by Robert Yeoman, 1989, 100min, USA, in English, Color, DVD) -- Matt Dillon gives the performance of his career as the drug-addicted criminal who masterminds a series of robberies in the Pacific Northwest. A harsh and decidedly unsentimental look at life on the fringe that deals honestly with the world of controlled substances.
