The Edward Alexander Bouchet Black Tie Dinner: Celebrating 136 Years of Achievement

This event commemorates the achievement of the first African-American in North America to receive his PhD in Physics from Yale University, Dr. Edward Alexander Bouchet. This event will highlight the achievement made by Dr. Bouchet as well as other minority scientists in the STEM fields. The keynote speakers are Dr. Audrey Ellerbee of Stanford University and Duke's very own Dr. Erich Jarvis. The event will commence with a cocktail hour and proceed with the programming for the evening. Tickets will be sold at $15/person, $20/couple and $80/table of eight.
