Protesting or Terrorism? Activism in a Post-9/11 World

Animal rights activist Jake Conroy and journalist Will Potter will talk about how non-violent environmental and animal rights protesters have been targeted and branded as terrorists under post-9/11 laws. The event will cover how the FBI has labeled animal rights and environmental activists the "number one domestic terrorism threat," and how new laws have turned activism into "terrorism." The event is co-sponsored by the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and the American Constitution Society, and funded by the Duke Bar Association. Lunch by Jimmy John's.
