Tuesday, March 05, 2013
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

MEDMentors is an all volunteer, student led service organization founded by Duke University School of Medicine that aims to promote the long-term health and rehabilitation of adolescents at Durham's juvenile detention facility by providing health education, one-on-one tutoring, literacy classes, and job skills training several times a week. MEDMentors involves students from the School of Medicine, Physicians Assistant program and Duke University's Law School (StreetLAW). We're always open to volunteers from within the greater Duke Graduate School Community and would LOVE to add new members. A criminal background check and some simple paperwork is required before you volunteer. Tuesday 6-7pm session is health topic based.
