    **This Performance is SOLD OUT!! A waitlist will be taken at the venue beginning at 6:30pm the night of the performance.** Eric Pritchard presents A MUSICAL OFFERING. Rebecca Troxler, flute; Elaine Funaro, harpsichord; Stephanie Vial, cello; will join violinist Eric Pritchard in the presentation and performance of Musikalisches Opfer (Musical Offering), BWV 1079 by JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH. This legendary work, dedicated to Prussian King Frederick the Great in 1747, is considered to be one of Bach's finest and most demanding pieces. The evening will begin with an introductory talk describing the history and the details of the work. The Ciompi Quartet Presents 2013 Summer Chamber Music Series will take place on three Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm in Kirby Horton Hall at Sarah P. Duke Gardens. Each concert will feature a member of the Ciompi Quartet joined by guest artists.
