Sarah Piper graduated from the University of Michigan with undergraduate degrees in Cell and Molecular Biology and Philosophy. She attended medical school at Michigan State's College of Human Medicine before venturing further south for residency at Duke in Combined Internal Medicine/Psychiatry. During this program, she has held positions as Consult-Liaison Chief Resident as well as Co-Chief Resident within the Medicine/Psychiatry program. Next year, she will travel across the country for a year-long fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.
