A systematic review attempts to collate all empirical evidence that fits pre-specified eligibility criteria in order to answer a specific research question. There are specific steps that need to be taken in conducting a systematic review: a clearly defined question, an explicit, reproducible methodology, a systematic search, an appraisal of the validity of the included studies; and a systematic presentation, and synthesis of the findings. This session will discuss this process and the resources available to support conducting a systematic review. (Computer Classroom, Rm 104, Lower Level/Medical Library)
