Terry Sanford Distinguished Lecture

Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. will discuss America's role in the world with Professor Peter Feaver in Page Auditorium on Monday, Sept. 10, at 5:30 p.m. The talk, "America 2012: Challenges and Opportunities Abroad," is a Terry Sanford Distinguished Lecture.Huntsman's foreign policy experience includes serving as ambassador to China during the Obama administration (2009 to 2011) and as Deputy U.S. Trade Representative for the George W. Bush administration. He also served as ambassador to Singapore under George H.W. Bush. He was twice elected as governor of Utah and ran for the Republican nomination for president in 2012.The Terry Sanford Distinguished Lecture is presented by the Sanford School of Public Policy and co-sponsored by the American Grand Strategy Program.
