Book event/signing: "Colors of Confinement: Rare Kodachrome Photographs of Japanese American Incarceration in World War II"

A celebration of the publication of the newest book in the Documentary Arts and Culture series, published by the Center for Documentary Studies and the University of North Carolina Press. Editor Eric Muller will give a multimedia presentation followed by a reception and book signing. "Colors of Confinement" showcases 65 stunning photos from an extremely rare collection of color images taken in the early 1940s by Bill Manbo, a Japanese American internee at the Heart Mountain Relocation Center in Wyoming. The photos are presented along with interpretive essays by leading scholars and a personal essay by another former internee.
