First-year parent Judy Rothman Rofé is a screenwriter, producer and lyricist specializing in comedy and literary adaptations for children. She won the 2002 Emmy for Best Animated Program for Madeline (based on the classic children's books), and has worked on many other shows, including Arthur, Sesame Street, and Jim Henson's Pajanimals. She is also the author of The Neurotic Parent (neuroticparent.com), an award-winning satiric blog about the absurdities of the college admissions process. Her bestselling book, "The Neurotic Parent's Guide to College Admissions," was published earlier this year. She and her husband now have two sons at Duke. She will talk about writing for TV, turning a blog into a book, and how to regain your sanity after your kids get into college.
