Professor Anna Frajlich-Zajac, Professor Karen Underhill

Professor Anna Frajlich-Zajac (Columbia University) will speak about her experience as a Polish Jew who had to leave Poland in 1969 as part of the "Jewish Exodus" and as a Polish-language poet who is now feted in Poland as an acclaimed writer. Professor Karen Underhill (University of Illinois at Chicago) will talk about the revival of interest in Judaism and Jewish culture and history in Poland, drawing on her experience as a scholar and an educator for the Taube Philanthropies Jewish Heritage Tours in Poland.
