Love Politics? We do too!Election Affection is our politically-savvy series for anyone who votes. Beginning with early voting on Tuesday, October 30, we will parade to the polls and afterwards enjoy early dinner at Cuban Revolution accompanied with a little bit of conversation around the election. But that is just the beginning!Friday, November 2, will start our Brown Bag portion of our program. We've invited your very own Dr. Sandy Darity, Duke University's Professor of Public Policy and Economics and current Chair of African & African-American Studies, to share his insights on being "Fiscally Black". Not just a state of wealth, but also a state of race.Forward to the following Monday (November 5) and we will join both Dr. Maurice Wallace and Dr. Willie Jennings for an engaging conversation on "Politics & the Pulpit". How does the state of the Union affect the church? Should the church influence the State? Listen, learn, and share your thoughts as well.If you hadn't had enough by then, we've saved the crème de la crème for the very last. Come, see, talk, chill and enjoy the fun as we host our WATCH PARTY from 7pm on as America selects her next President! Refreshments will be provided. All events will occur at your favorite spot - the Mary Lou Williams Center for Black Culture. Our Vote...Our Voice.
