Event Image
Wednesday, January 16, 2013
6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Learn how to work with nature in your garden, harnessing its power to create a healthy and beautiful home landscape. Landscape architect Jesse Turner will guide you through each step: getting started, assessing your garden soil, hydrology, plant choices, and garden materials. Each stage includes worksheets and complete assessment information. The program materials were developed by the U.S. Botanic Garden and the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and modeled after the Sustainable Sites Initiative benchmarks. All materials included in the fee. The 5-part class continues on Wednesdays through Feb. 13. Pre-registration required. Parking included. (919) 668-1707.
