Vegetation: The Ecology of Change

Event Image
Tuesday, February 26, 2013
6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The plants of our region are faithful indicators of their environment. They tell the story of the millennia of geological change, soil development, water availability, climate shifts and human activity. Join ecologist Milo Pyne to explore the variation of plants across the Triangle and learn what the distribution patterns tell us about our environment. You will gain a deeper understanding of the environment's impact and learn to read the plants and land. 5-part class continues on Tuesdays through March 12 at the same time, and on Saturdays, March 9 & 16, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. $180; $145 Gardens members. Pre-registration required. Parking included. (919) 668-1707.
