Event Image
Friday, April 12, 2013
10:00 am - 12:00 pm

More than 120 plant species called disjunct species are native to North Carolina and are remarkably similar to native Asian plants. How can that be? Join Asiatic Arboretum curator Paul Jones and horticulturist Michelle Rawlins to unravel the mystery with evidence including continental drift, eons of time, and tangible signs of the process of evolution. See examples of the 'kissing cousin' plants in the Asiatic Arboretum. Pre-registration required. Parking fees apply.
