Compost Teas: Controversies and Use

Event Image
Saturday, April 27, 2013
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

AACT, or actively aerated compost teas, are easily made at home. Some insist they minimize your use of chemically based fertilizers, pesticides and fungicides, and rapidly build a healthy, productive soil. Others claim they don't work. Author Jeff Lowenfels will discuss the controversy and teach you how to create your own AACT compost tea so you can decide for yourself. Horticulture Certificate and Master Naturalist Certificate elective. Pre-registration required. Parking included.
