"Mindfulness Meditation - Joining Body and Mind," a public talk by Acharya Arawana Hayashi

The Durham Shambhala Center (http://durham.shambhala.org/) and the Buddhist Community at Duke http://www.duke.edu/web/meditation/index.html are pleased to announce that Buddhist teacher, accomplished dancer, and activist Arawana Hayashi will offer a free public talk on Thursday, February 20th at the Sanford Institute of Public Policy at 7:30 PM. The topic of the talk will be: "Mindfulness Meditation: Joining Body and Mind." Ms. Hayashi began studying and practicing Tibetan Buddhism in 1974 and was named an Acharya, a senior teacher within the Shambhala Buddhist tradition. She teaches courses on Buddhism, Shambhala art, and meditation and also works with the Presencing Institute to create art for social change.
