We Women Warriors

The Student Advisory Board of the Duke Human Rights Center@FHI will be hosting a screening of We Women Warriors in honor of Women's History Month this March in partnership with the Duke Women's Center, the Baldwin Scholars and Duke Libraries. We Women Warriors tells the story of three brave women from distinct tribes in Colombia's war-torn indigenous villages who use nonviolent resistance to defend their peoples' survival. It bears witness to neglected human rights catastrophes and interweaves character-driven stories about female empowerment, unshakable courage, and faith in the endurance of indigenous culture. Find out more and watch the trailer on the We Women Warriors website.
