This is three day conference is a first of its kind that will explore comparative experiences of African Americans, Dalits and Tribals. Our conference is set to be an epic experience, bringing people together from around the world, domestically within the US and locally within Cary, Durham and Raleigh. We have renowned scholars/speakers and sponsors coming from the Indian Institute of Management, Indian Institute of Dalit Studies, National Council of Applied Economic Research, Jawaharlal Nehru University, IGNOU The Peoples University, Delhi School of Economics and National Law School of India. Including scholars from a variety of Institutes across the US such as the Roy Wilkins Center for Human Relations & Social Justice, University of Minnesota and Bennett College. Thursday April 3rd, 2014 we will kick off the conference with a "Town Hall Forum" at 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, bringing together the international scholars and the local community with a panel on Affirmative Action.Friday, April 4th, 2014 the conference will start at 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, a thought-provoking day, with the Plenary given by Dr. Gyanendra Panday, from Emory University.
