Know Your Rights: What To Do If You're Stopped by the Police

The Duke Law ACLU and the Duke Law Students for Sensible Drug Policy are proud to present the second annual "Know Your Rights" event. Knowledge is power. Unfortunately, many people don't know what their rights are when they get stopped by the police. As a result, some individuals unnecessarily waive their rights, even when doing so is not in their best interest. Join us when Raul Pinto of the North Carolina ACLU and a member of the Duke University Police Department come to the Griffith Theater in the Bryan Center to tell people what they can and cannot do when confronted by the police. Remember, it's always best to know your rights! Food will be served! For more info, contact Steve Wagner at stevedwagner@gmail.com.
