AfriPost: Epistolary Journeys of African Pictures

Please join us for the opening reception and panel discussion for AFRIPOST: Epistolary Journeys of African Pictures. Panelists are Margaret Sartor, Karen Jean Hunt, and Dimeji Abidoye. AfriPost: Epistolary Journeys of African Pictures is a digital exhibition comprised of 20 images from the Rubenstein Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Duke University. The images are accompanied by texts submitted by participants asked to respond to the images in the form of a handwritten letter. AfriPost examines the intersection of the epistolary exchange and imagery. The exhibition is curated by Sarah Stacke and Candice Jansen and is sponsored by the Duke Africa Initiative.
