Police Brutality and Race

In light of the Michael Brown shooting, the Black Law Students Association invites you to a panel discussion addressing the issue of race and police brutality. Panelists include Dr. Mark Anthony Neal, Professor of Black Popular Culture in the Department of African and African-American Studies at Duke University. Dr. Karla Holloway, Professor of English. Dr. Holloway also holds appointments in the Law School and Women's Studies departments at Duke University. Daryl Atkinson, attorney with the Southern Coalition for Social Justice (SCSJ) where he focuses on criminal justice reform issues. Melvin Tucker, criminal justice and litigation consultant for law enforcement cases. Duke Law Professor Trina Jones will moderate the panel. Lunch will be served on a first come first served basis.
