Fifth National Conference on Radical Transformation in Nursing Education: Cultivating Meaningful Collaborations

On November 13th and 14th, the Duke University School of Nursing will host its fifth annual conference focusing on the pursuit of radical transformation in nursing education. The particular focus for this year's conference is Cultivating Meaningful Collaborations. The conference will kick off on the evening of November 13th with an insightful keynote presentation by Dr. Lee Shulman, immediate past-president of the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and an internationally-known, award-winning education scholar. The keynote address will be co-sponsored by Duke AHEAD, the Academy for Health Professions Education and Academic Development, and will be attended by educators from nursing, medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant and other health professions programs, and it will focus on interprofessional learning. The radical transformation conference will continue on November 14th with an all-day focus on nursing education. On November 15th, individuals will have the opportunity to participate in an optional post-conference workshop on Using the Arts and Humanities to Teach Nursing.
