David Stern, PhD.

David's lab studies the molecular mechanisms underlying morphological and behavioral evolution in the genus Drosophila. Historically, his lab has elucidated how changes in transcriptional enhancers have generated morphological evolution. His group has made seminal contributions to our understanding of how these enhancers have evolved and how they work. More recently he has also started studies on the evolution of courtship behavior.
