Join film director Steve Channing for a screening of his new documentary Generation of Change: Bill Friday, Terry Sanford and North Carolina's "Greatest Generation" 1920s-1972 on Monday, January 26th from 5:30-7:30 in Sanford 04. Synopsis: Bill Friday, Terry Sanford, Bill Aycock and many others from North Carolina led a time of dramatic change that established many of today's institutions. The documentary film, Generation of Change takes us from their youth in the 1920s to the climactic election of 1972, and the birth of the modern two-party state in North Carolina. The screening will conclude with a panel of distinguished experts who can also address the aftermath Terry Sanford's legacy, and what a huge difference he made at Duke. The panel and audience Q & A will include Joel Fleishman, Dr. Brenda Armstrong, David Dodson, and William Chafe. The event is free and open to the public. There is public parking in the Science Drive Visitor Lot or the Bryan Center.
