Event Image
Wednesday, February 04, 2015
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Professor Tim Nichols will discuss the opportunities available to Duke students, both graduate and undergraduate, interested in the study of intelligence and national security. Duke, along with NCSU, UNC, and NCCU, was recently awarded a grant to become an ¿Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence¿ (IC-CAE). The purpose of the program is to encourage universities to build defense and intelligence-focused curricula in order to provide educational opportunities to interested students. Under the umbrella of the Triangle Institute for Security Studies (TISS), the grant will focus on the addition of formal courses, the provision of experiential opportunities, and the establishment of both an association for the Study of Intelligence and an Intelligence Scholars program. To learn more, please attend the session on February 4th or visit the IC-CAE website at: https://tissiccae.web.unc.edu.
