Dive Into Durham Spring Break Program: Apply by 1/30/15
Dive into Durham is five days of immersive, direct service during Duke's Spring Break (March 9-14, 2015) that introduces students to the issues of hunger and homelessness in Durham. Participants will volunteer 12-16 hours with local nonprofit organizations that address food and housing insecurities such as Urban Ministries of Durham, NC Food Bank and Lakewood Community Garden. Students will also participate in reflective dialogues about how hunger and homelessness affect our community and what can be done about it, while exploring Durham's culture and history. There is no cost to participate. If you currently live on campus, the Duke residence halls are open during Spring Break. Undergraduate and graduate students welcome! Enrollment limited to 10 students. Apply here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/HR5RH55 by January 30, 2015.
