Madagascar Rediscovered: Myth, History, and Science
In a lecture open to the public, Richard will highlight major scientific discoveries that have illuminated the prehistory of Madagascar. The talk starts at 6:00 pm. In recent decades, the earth and life sciences have opened new windows into Madagascar's past. Paleogeology, paleoecology, molecular biology and archaeology have banished old myths, replacing them with a dynamic and still unfolding account of Madagascar's journey to the present.
