Growing the Pie: Major Gifts Funding Breakfast Break
Sponsor(s): School of Medicine Faculty Development
In the last 40 years alone, generous donors have given nearly $400 million to Duke, much of which has funded groundbreaking discoveries in science and medicine. However, learning how to engage donors can seem intangible to many clinicians. Hear from experts from Duke Medicine Development, who are here to help researchers learn how to navigate the donor engagement journey. During this September breakfast session, learn about different types of gifts, where donors come from, how to partner with Duke Medicine Development to raise private support, and how to maintain a relationship once a donor is identified. The session is best suited for clinicians doing translational research, but is open to the Duke community.
