Award-winning author of The Cigarette Century: The Rise, Fall and Deadly Persistence of the Product that Defined America, Allan Brandt will show how a single product came to play such a dominant role in agriculture, business, medicine and politics. Dr. Brandt will evaluate new questions of global health disparities, trade, and consumption; analyze the rise of e-cigarettes; and examine the current global parameters of tobacco control.
