5:15 pm - 6:00 pm
Aruna Gurumurthy, Duke Learner and Researcher

An enthusiast from Duke University crosses borders and travels to the other side of Highway 15-501 to present her recent work on megawatt change, DIYA: A Megawatt Approach to Change.

'DIYA' means light in Sanskrit. It is a dream. A dream about bringing change. first to our minds and ultimately in the world.

Have you ever woken up in the morning and wondered if you could have a Bible of Life to accompany your cuppa? That is, a set of tenets on how to deal with everyday life, its surprises, dispositions and disappointments? Have you ever wondered that to err is human but to be human our errors must be minimum? In other words, do you want to change the way you think, say and do, to minimize relationship tension. How does a shift in thinking patterns lead to world peace? Come, let a contemporary and cool friend help you.

THE AUTHOR: Crossing barriers and continents at a young age, she first came to pursue graduate education at Amherst, MA in 1999. Unsure of what she really wanted to do or where she really wanted to go, she once even ended up with a pile of suitcases on the road in the middle of the night... Aruna Gurumurthy now aspires to bring focus and organization into the minds and lives of people. She writes with a voice and foresees with a vision...to bring the world together.
