VFF: Feature Interpretations from Ground Penetrating Radar at Vulci, Italy
Webcast: Link
This week, we will hear from one of the finalists of the 2016 Student Data Visualization Contest. Katherine McCusker, a PhD student in Art History, will present the results of a comparison between previously known archaeological features and the data from ground penetrating radar (GPR) scans at the Etruscan site of Vulci, Italy. By comparing the earlier findings to these new scans, we can more conclusively confirm the likelihood of some buildings while proposing new interpretations for areas previous surveys were not able to cover.
