Macon Phillips (T '00) was the 2008 Obama campaign's digital guru and the man behind many of the Obama White House's digital innovations (Change.gov and WhiteHouse.gov for example).
He now uses his digital talents to help the State Department revamp America's "digital diplomacy" efforts, where he spends his days developing ways to expand engagement with foreign audiences.
Before the '08 campaign, Phillips led Blue State Digital's strategy practice, working with clients like the Democratic National Committee and Senator Ted Kennedy. A proud AmeriCorps VISTA alum, the Huntsville, Alabama native is a graduate of Duke University.
