Peace Film Series: The Price of Sex

This documentary follows the stories of Eastern European women in the sex trafficking trade and the abuse they suffer. Bulgarian photojournalist Mimi Chakarova goes undercover to gain unprecedented access into the lives of women who have been silenced by the shame, fear and violence surrounding the thriving industry of sex trafficking. The film will be followed by a discussion led by a Rotary Peace Fellow and an invited guest expert.

The Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center, one of only six such centers in the world, promotes peace through a holistic approach to training by combining conflict resolution methods, peace building and conflict prevention with an emphasis on more sustainable development. It is funded by a grant from the Rotary Foundation.
