Jummah (Friday) prayers are held every week on campus when classes are in session during the fall and spring semesters. Jummah is a congregational prayer (salaat) that Muslims hold every Friday around noontime. Khutbas (sermons) are led by a variety of individuals throughout the year, including students, faculty and invited guest speakers. Sisters can have their Khutbahs read by any male. If you are interested in writing and/or delivering a Khutbah this semester, please contact kiah.glenn@duke.edu All are welcome to attend and observe. After prayer services, the community gathers together to socialize over lunch offered by the Center for Muslim Life. Jummah is a wonderful way to catch up with friends and meet new members to the Duke Muslim community.
