Biochemical oscillators such as the cell cycle, circadian clocks, and metabolic rhythms often co-exist in the same cells, and interact with one another directly through genetic interactions or indirectly through shared resources. Co-existing oscillators are usually studied independently of each other despite the expectation that they could synchronize. In this talk, I will present our lab's latest work and perspective on the function, evolution, and interaction of the cell cycle, circadian clocks, and metabolic rhythms.
