VFF: Lessons Learned from Teaching a Data Visualization MOOC to Aspiring Data Scientists and Business Analysts

Between 2015 and early 2016, we launched a five-course Coursera specialization in Business Analytics. "Data Visualization and Communication with Tableau", the third course in this series, currently has over 36,000 active students. In this talk, I will discuss the rewards and challenges of teaching data visualization in a MOOC format, and share some key lessons learned about designing data-heavy courses for business-oriented audiences.
