Duke-Durham School Days

17th year of bringing 300 Durham First Generation 8th graders to Duke. The goal is to share the excitement of the college experience and motivate them to aim for higher education. They explore campus in groups of 10 students, 2 school counselors, 2 Duke staff and 2 Duke students. Experiences include visiting the 3D DiVE virtual reality chamber, the Human Patient Simulator, and the largest college 3D printing lab as well as residence halls, West Union, and meet with faculty. Duke staff, students and faculty are encouraged to volunteer (see sign-up link).
