*CANCELED: PhD Scientist Site Visit: BD Technologies [Registration required]

On October 20 and 21, visit up to four Triangle companies (BD Technologies, Research Square, Quintiles, RTI International)who hire PhD scientists and engineers. Join the Duke University Career Center and our peers from Virginia Commonwealth University to hear employees and human resource professionals talk about research agendas, preference for employees with advanced degrees, and work cultures outside of academia. These visits are open to all PhDs, not just those actively searching for jobs. Learning about career options is useful at many points along your Ph.D. or postdoctoral path.

We take these visits seriously, and so should you. Before you sign up, ensure you're able to attend. Registration commits you to two things:
1.) YES! I will travel independently to the employer site, arrive punctually and attend the entire visit.

2.) YES! I will prepare for this event by doing some preliminary internet research into the basics of what the company does and how it works. As part of this, I'll learn about their preferred work attire and dress accordingly.
