Maternity and Sexuality: Pirandello's Constant Obsessions
Prof. Daniela Bini is Professor of Italian and Comparative Literature at the University of Texas, Austin. In her research she has always combined her interest in philosophy with that of literature, focusing, in particular, on the issue of the inadequacy of verbal language as exemplified by her books on 19th and early 20th century authors (Leopardi, Pirandello) and by some recent essays on music, opera and film. In 2007 the President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano bestowed on her the title of Cavaliere (Ordine della Stella della Solidarietà Italiana).
