Workshop: Developing sustainable and scalable business models for digital health innovations in low-resource settings

About the workshop:

Faculty who are developing digital solutions to health problems will interact with an expert specializing in creating and scaling ventures at the intersection health and technology. Participants will learn business model approaches for taking their innovations to scale and will apply the approach to their specific product or service. Faculty are encouraged to bring small teams of their colleagues and trainees to engage in the process together.

About the facilitator:

Sidd Goyal is a technology specialist with over 15 years of experience in developing innovative technology solutions in a range of industries - consumer web, enterprise sales, publishing, and labor markets. He recently served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Invested Development, an early stage fund focused on funding social enterprises in East Africa and India. He currently holds the role of CTO of TinyURL, the world's first link shortener, and founded Emagin Ventures with a focus on creating and scaling ventures at the intersection health and technology. He applies consumer facing models to pressing problems in the health space in emerging markets. He holds multiple patents in the area of mobile synchronization technologies, and graduated from MIT with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science.
